The Nirvana Beanie is an advanced beginner cable knit pattern. It gets its namesake from another one of my favorite places in my home town of Cordova, Alaska. Nirvana Park sits right on the edge of Eyak Lake and as the fog sets over the lake it becomes truly ethereal.

This pattern is knit in the round from the bottom up and comes in 3 weight options: Bulky/Light Super Bulky, Aran, or Super Bulky Weight Yarns.

Materials needed:
Aran:
US 8 (5mm) 16” circular knitting needles
US 10.5 (6.5mm) 16” circular knitting needles and DPNs
130 yds. Malabrigo Mecha or similar

Bulky/ LSB:
US 10 (6mm) 16” circular knitting needles
US 11 (8mm) 16” circular knitting needles and DPNs
104 yds. of Malabrigo Chunky, 90-125 yds. Malabrigo Noventa or similar
