The shawl is an inspiration of Norse mythology.
In the middle of the shawl is Yggdrasil ( tree of life ) and above are Hugin and Munin which is Odin’s two ravens that every day brings news of the world . The two Old Norse names Hugin and Munin means : The thought and memory .
The intricate pattern is the Gordian knot ( a knot can not be untied ) and the cross is a version of the clover -leaf cross .
