Pattern Information

I hope you like The Northern Arm Warmer Pattern, I was inspired to create it after watching Outlander. I live in the North East of England and I wanted a simple accessory to wear and layer with my other clothing when the cold North wind blows. I keep them folded in my bag for when the weather inevitably turns cooler.

I also wanted to design a low cost pattern that wasn’t too complicated to make. To make this pattern you will need a 4 mm hook and a DK yarn of your choice. I used a single 100g ball of Stylecraft special DK yarn to make a pair of arm warmers. You could experiment with using other types of yarns and because it doesn’t use a large amount of yarn it could be the perfect project to use an extra special yarn.

Size Guide

At the elbow this pattern measures 25 cm
At the wrist this pattern measures 19 cm
The arm warmer measures 32 cm in length.

I have included notes on how this pattern could be adjusted, if you would like to make it shorter or narrower as I appreciate that we all have different size forearms.
