Knit the Norwegian troll hat!

Inspired by the Norwegian trolls and the Scandinavian color palette, we made this easy and fun knitting hat tutorial.

Skills level: Easy
You need to know how to knit and purl and knit 2 stitches together, and basic pattern knitting.

Yarn:
100 grams Trollkar Supermjuk or similar piled wool yarns fit for 3 mm knitting needles.
You need 1 base color and 3 contrast colors. We have used jeans blue for base color, and off-white, burgundy and coal black as contrast colors.

Needles:
3 mm circular needle, 40 cm long.
5 pcs 3 mm double pointed needles.

You also need:
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Scissors for cutting of ends.
Blue sewing thread and sewing needle.

Gauge:
24 stitches pr. 10 cm. Use the knitting needles and yarn that you need to get this gauge.

Sizes:
The sizes are: Newborn 1 year 2-3 yrs 4 yrs + adult.
