Size: chest circumference (finished measurements): 47 (51, 55, 59) 63, 67, 69.5, 72.5” / 117.5 (127.5, 137.5, 147.5) 157.5, 167.5, 174, 181.5 cm; referred to in pattern as 1 (2, 3, 4) 5, 6, 7, 8.
Intended ease: approximately 10 – 16 ” / 25 – 40 cm positive ease in chest. Shown in 47” / 117.5 cm size with 10” / 25 cm of positive ease on Sherri (with long hair) and 47” / 117.5 cm size with 14” / 35 cm of positive ease on Lindsay (with hair in bun).
Yarn: bulky weight yarn, 1,300 (1,450, 1,650, 1,725) 1,850, 2,000, 2,150, 2,250 yards / 1,190 (1,325, 1,510, 1,575) 1,690, 1,830, 1,965, 2,060 metres.
Shown in Julie Asselin Douillet, (Rambouillet + Columbia) 115g / 4oz = 135 yards / 124 m; 10 (11, 13, 13) 14, 15, 16, 17 skeins.
Needles:
US 10 / 6 mm circular needles (for knitting flat), at least 24 (24, 24, 24) 32, 32, 32, 32” / 60 (60, 60, 60) 80, 80, 80, 80 cm.
US 9 / 5.5 mm circular needles (for knitting flat, and for working collar), at least 24 (24, 24, 24) 32, 32, 32, 32” / 60 (60, 60, 60) 80, 80, 80, 80 cm.

Gauge
Using US 10 / 6 mm needles, 12 stitches and 19.5 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, blocked.
Using US 10 / 6 mm needles, 15 stitches and 19.5 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Chart C pattern (as Chart C is 14 sts, add 1 or 2 stockinette edge stitches on each side for purposes of swatching). Choose a needle size that gives your fabric a tight gauge with minimal drape.
