This top is named for both the yarn colorway, and the Orchid lace panel encircling the generous hem. Dragonfly Fibers Dance is my favorite warm weather yarn. It has a lovely feel while knitting and a luscious drape while wearing.
Finished Size:
Chest: 3236, 40, 44, 48, 52 inches
Length: 1313.5, 14, 14, 14.5, 15 inches from cast on to underarm
Yarn: Dragonfly Fibers Dance Rustic Silk 100% silk noil; 450 yards per 4 oz skein; 22, 2, 2, 2, 3 skeins. Sample knit in Orchid Thief.

Needles: US #5/3.75mm circular needle, 32 inches or longer for the body of the top (larger sizes may prefer a longer needle), and your preferred method to knit small circumferences in the round.

Stitch markers
Waste yarn or stitch holders
Yarn needle to weave ends

Gauge: 20 stitches/28 rows per 4” in stockinette stitch.

Note: This top is worked in the round from the hem to the underarms. Front and back are then worked separately to the shoulders. Shoulder stitches are joined using Kitchener stitch or three-needle bind-off. You may wish to bind off neck and armhole finishing stitches with a needle two sizes larger, as silk does not give like wool does.
