This little Owl and Pussycat are quick to knit little toys. You make them as mini pincushions, bag charms, or just for fun! Only simple knitting stitches are used (knit, purl, a kfb increase and k2tog decrease). Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). The cat’s collar is a single crochet chain worked on the crochet hook.

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.75mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 5)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; up to 25g in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, beads for eyes, toy safety nose, and a 3.75mm crochet hook.

SIZES
One size only - the owl is 8.5cm tall and cat is 9.5cm tall (including the ears).

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
