This is a great shawl pattern for using up that one skein of variegated sock yarn that you have in your stash but aren’t quite sure what to do with it! Pick one color in your variegated yarn and pair it with a matching solid color in the knit on border for a sophisticated look. The shawl sample was knit with one solid skein of Tilli Tomas Sock and one variegated skein of Tilli Tomas Sock.

The Pat Shawl is traditional triangle shawl knit from the neck to the long edge. The shawl has a knit-on border which means it’s not necessary to bind off 325+ stitches at once! The bold knit-on edging is worked back and forth over 32 stitches and a k2tog with the main body stitches every other row eliminates the large bind off stitch by stitch. Yarn Two balls of Tilli Tomas Artisan Sock 90 % Superwash Merino, 10% Nylon. 440 yards/ 404 meters. Color A: Wild Violet, Color B: Herb. Total yardage: 810 yards/ 743 meters.

20 stitches and 28 rows over 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch
