THE PEACE LILY hat pattern is first of all a knit-one-purl-one pattern. It´s a fast knit using Aran-weight yarn, perfect for a last-minute knitted gift.

Love the seamless transition from ribbed pattern to the crown decreases, which are part of the pattern too. The hat is worked up quickly and fully reversible. Two versions are given: without a brim as a modern beanie or a longer version to be folded over (using a second skein of yarn).

Wear The Peace Lily hat for impenetrable warmth and for a hip accessory. Wear it one way out or the other, cuffed or uncuffed and slouchy… The pattern is like three hats in one!
Use neutral colors, tonal/ solid or variegated / gradient. The pattern is so addictive, I could not resist to knit three hats in one go!

Pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up. Directions are given for one size, by changing needle size and gauge you can change final dimensions too.
Directions are written in parentheses as follows: Version A (fitted), B (slouchy), C (cuffed).

MEASUREMENTS
Circumference 18”/45cm blocked.
To fit average adult head circumference 20”-23 “/50cm -55cm.

LENGTH
8”/20cm (fitted), 10”/25cm (slouchy), 12”/30cm (cuffed).

YARN
Approximately 175 yards - 230 yards/165m - 210m of Aran-weight yarn.
Neutral sample shown in Arranmore (The Fibre Company) - 80% Wool, 10% Silk, 10% Goat, 175yards (160m)/ 100g - in shade: St. Claire, 1 skein.
Brown sample shown in Malabrigo Mecha - 100% Wool - Merino, 130 yards (119m)/100g, in shade: Glitter, 2 skeins.
You can also use any other Aran / Bulky weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size US 6/4,0mm, 16”/40cm circular and dpns or long circular for preferred method of working small circumferences in the round.
NOTIONS
4 stitch markers and darning needle for weaving in ends.
GAUGE
20 sts, 18 rounds = 4”/10cm square in blocked knit one purl one rib.
