A great project for summer knitting. This pattern knits up fairly quickly, and is lightweight for summer knitting. Make this bag to take to the beach or pool, the farmers market, or your favorite yarn shop.

The bag is fairly large at about 20 inches long hanging. The stitch is quite stretchy making it a very roomy bag for shopping. The pattern includes some notes for making a much smaller version. I use the smaller version to store my onions in my pantry.

The stitch pattern is a little tricky to get going, but I have had beginning knitters work this pattern very successfully. The use of a traveling marker and a stationary marker are very important for success.
