I’ve seen some similar slouch hats, but nothing exactly like this one. So I’ve written out the instructions, in case you’d like to make one just like mine. The wide band features easy cables, but you can just do a simple 2 x 2 ribbing as an alternative.

I would classify the Lion Brand Heartland yarn as a light worsted - a little closer to DK weight than to worsted. It’s very soft, and has a lot of drape. I love the 2-tone colors it comes in. This “Joshua Tree” colorway is absolutely gorgeous.

This hat measures about 11 inches (28 cm) in diameter when laid flat on a table. I’ve also made this hat using a heavier yarn, such as Vanna’s Choice (Aran weight), and it came out larger - 12 inches (30.5 cm) in diameter when laid flat. So if you have a smaller head than my 23.5 inches, then you might want to decrease the number of stitches or go down in needle size.

This hat is knitted in the round from the bottom up.
