The Phoenix Mini Shawl
by Maria Tsalla
To create a mini shawl from just one hank of Silkpaca (384 meters/420 yards) you need to make 3 full increases and a half increase (4 rows instead of 7). You can continue increasing the shawl till it is as big as you want it to be.
The gauge is not necessary since you can technically make this shawl with any lightweight (sport or lace) yarn - you would only need about 384 meters/420 yards minimum for XS/S sizes (shoulder length). For sizes M/L I would recommend approximately twice as much yarn and for L/XL - 3 times. After that everyone can decide for themselves how big they want it, the shawl will look beautiful in any size.
