This pattern is written in “measure yourself” style, which means it can be scaled to any size using the measurements you take and using any type of yarn you want with the appropriate hook size to the yarn. Making it so adjustable to fit your kid or your customer no matter what size she is. You can also scale it to adult sizes if you want, using the exact same instructions! SO you can even match with your daughter!

The skirt is worked on an elastic rope so that it stretches but fits really well around the waist, there is a google drive link provided in the pattern to show you how to work on an elastic rope.

You will need to take 2 measurements only for this pattern:

  1. The waist measurement.
  2. The suspender length; which is taken by measuring from the center of the waist at the bellybutton, up to the shoulders and crossing the shoulder down to the waist again at the back, this is the total length for each suspender.

• You will need:
1. Any type of yarn can be used for this pattern but for skirt that has a nice flow to it, I advise you to use aran, worsted, DK or finger weight yarn, all these yarn weights will give a nice skirt, of course the thinner the yarn you choose, the more flowy your skirt will be, for reference I used worsted weight yarn (weight 4).

  1. A crochet hook that suits the type of yarn you chose. (I used a 4mm crochet hook for the worsted weight yarn).

  2. Scissors.

  3. Measuring tape.

  4. Stitch markers.

  5. Tapestry needle.

  6. An elastic rope for the skirt’s waist.

• Stitches you need to know to make this project: (US terminology)
Ch = chain.
Dc = double crochet.
Sl st = slip stitch.
Sl st blo = slip stitch on the back loop only.
