My goal was to design a lace stitch that would not look old-fashioned, but had some texture and provided a soft, airy, and flowy fabric. The pine stitch meets all the requirements, and the fabric of the scarf reminds me of beautiful pine forests of my home country.

The dimensions of the scarf are given for Berroco Folio fingering weight yarn and 3.5mm crochet hook, but you may easily adjust to work with any yarn you want and a suitable hook.
