For a long time, I’ve been inspired by the process of recycling Indian saris and turning them into beautiful ribbons and yarns. Searching high and low, I had yet to find a pattern that highlights the gorgeousness, culture, and history of these stunning yarns. I designed the Pink City Blanket as a way to celebrate this tradition as well as support the amazing artists and women who create this yarn in Rajasthan, India. What I love about this process is that no scrap goes to waste, and this combination becomes a work of art. The Pink City Blanket is a simple pattern that lets the yarn shine.
