I got bored of seeing kids have all the playful hats and decided I wanted a piece of the fun! So I set about creating something part way between a bonnet and a deerstalker. I wanted ear flaps, I wanted dangly bits, I wanted pom poms… I wanted to play!

A quick and easy crochet hat project using chunky yarn

Skills needed
Easy / Beginner with some experience; Magic ring, back loop only, half double crochet, single crochet, slip stitching

Materials
100m super bulky yarn, 9mm hook, a couple of place markers or scraps of yarn, pom pom makers

Size
To fit the average adult head - the pattern has quite a bit of stretch so should fit all! This hat is not suitable for children or infants.
