It’s no mystery, The Plot Thickens is the hat I’ll be knitting for everyone on my gift list this winter! The Plot Thickens hat is inspired by the Yarn Treats sock pattern Plot Twist. The Plot Thickens hat is a super-stretchy all-over cable design. The hat features a crochet cast-on & optional sewn brim. Pom-pom or not, there’s a Plot Thickens Hat for every head.

Sizes:
Toddler: 15 - 16” (38 - 41 cm) circumference.
Child: 20 - 21” (51 - 52 cm) circumference.
Adult: 22 - 23” (56 - 58 cm) circumference.

Yarn:
Each hat uses just one skein of Suburban Stitcher DK weight yarn. Choose either the Suburban Stitcher Merino DK or my personal favorite the Suburban Stitcher Tweed DK.

Toddler: Suburban Stitcher Merino DK. Colorway Wisteria Lane. (51 g actually used)

Child: Suburban Stitcher Merino DK. Colorway Oyster. (70 g actually used)

Adult: Suburban Stitcher Tweed DK. Colorway Whisper. (85 g actually used)

Gauge:
28 sts and 32 rods per 4” (1-0 cm) in cable pattern (unstretched).

Needles:
US Sz. 5 (3.75 mm) 16” (40 mm) circular needle.
US Sz. 6 (4 mm) 16” (40 mm) circular needle.
US Sz 6 (4 mm) DPNs.

Notions:
Cable needle, US 6 (4 mm) crochet hook, stitch marker, tapestry needle. Optional pom-pom.
