This is a beginner crochet pattern, worked bottom - up in the round, making for easy hat construction. The versatile and simple stitches are simple enough for a beginner, and fun and fast for a more experienced crocheter. The texture makes for a gender neutral hat, suitable for any person and can be sized up or down to fit any head.

The yarn used works well, but other yarns can be adapted to fit with pattern.

The stitch repeat uses post double crochets and other very simple techniques to create a seamless hat.
