Inspired in equal parts by a quote from Franz Kafka and a brilliant interpretation of it by artist Kendall Cox, this cozy top-down “crowdigan” features eyelet raglan shaping, a crochet rib border, and extra-long, voluminous sleeves for maximum “wearable blanket” vibes. The large-scale colourwork motif on the back draws on a love of the corvine family, the moon, and the Six of Wands tarot card. The Six of Wands is traditionally associated with good news and accomplishment – the prospect of possibility, if you will – and felt a fitting companion to a design first conceived of on New Year’s Eve.

The finished cardigan is designed to have at least 6” (15 cm) of positive ease. Using your chest circumference as a guide, make sure to pick a size that will provide a comfortable, cozy fit.
