There are many patterns out there for potato chip scarves. This is my variation on the theme. The pattern is worked entirely in garter stitch and uses short rows (without wraps) to achieve the ruffled effect.

This is one of the first patterns I ever wrote. It has not been tested or tech edited, though I did use it to (successfully) teach a class so I believe it to be error free. That being said, if you run into any problems I am happy to provide pattern support.
