I am SO excited about this jacket!!!!! I challenged myself to use a yarn that is primarily used to make blankets and pet beds to make a truly functional and FUN statement jacket that you can layer over a sweatshirt on those super chilly days! The pockets are the cherry on top! I truly hop this jacket pattern brings you as much joy as it brings me!!!

Despite being a shorter jacket, this particular design is meant to have an oversized/wider fit to allow you to use it as a layering piece. It is written with inclusive sizing for XXS/XS, XS/S, S/M, M/L, L/XL, XL/2X, 2X/3X, 3X/4X, & 4X/5X AND has LOTS of photos to guide you.

I also include a full measurement guide at the end of the pattern with photos of my testers in their sweaters along with which size they made and their body measurements to help you truly choose the right size for you!

You will also find a yarn recommendations page with a full list of super bulky yarn that would work well for this pattern (this is great if you don’t use super bulky yarn often and aren’t sure where to start).

I have also included a printer friendly version of this pattern that you will be able to download as well. This version has the text instructions only (no photos). I am continuing to try and make my patterns better and better so if you see a way I could improve please let me know! :)

Materials Needed:

• Yarn: Jumbo Weight (7) yarn OR Super Bulky (6) yarn that recommends a 25mm hook on the label. You can also double up a super bulky (6) weight yarn, just be sure to check your gauge!
• Needed Yardage: 230 (XXS/XS), 270 (XS/S), 310 (S/M), 350 (M/L), 390 (L/XL), 430 (XL/2X),
470 (2X/3X), 510 (3X/4X), 550 (4X/5X) yards
• Size 25mm crochet hook
• Tapestry Needle and scissors
• Gauge 4x4” - 3 SC stitches x 3.5 SC rows
