16” circular needles are used and the following sizes are needed:

super bulky - US 11/8mm for brim and US 13/9mm for body
bulky - US 10/6 mm for brim and US 11/8mm for body
light bulky - US 9/5.5 mm for brim and US 10.5/6.5 mm for body
