The Queen of Winter
The third pattern in my series inspired by Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files, this shawl was inspired by Mab, the Winter Queen. Mab is literally a force of nature and incredibly powerful, and like the deepest winter storm she can be both amazingly beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
This shawl features a centre panel inspired by ice in a triple panel, representing the Winter Queen, the Winter Lady, and Mother Winter, the body was inspired by the beauty and symmetry of snowflakes, and the edging by frozen flowers after a winter frost. The entire piece is symmetrical from the centre line, and designed to complement the icy tonal gorgeousness of Knitsch Yarn’s beautiful “Endeavour” colourway.
Both written and charted instructions are included.
