The Rati Riti Hat pattern is worked in one piece, bottom up with two colors. The hat includes a bit of color work (vertical stripes) and stripes (the horizontal ones) but everything is in stockinette stitch, so no purling needed! The pattern is divided into nine simple steps making it clear and easy for you to follow. In addition to written pattern, I have also included photos and drawings to help you navigate through the steps. This way the pattern is also suitable for brave beginner knitters!

Note that due to the nature of color work, the brim of the hat is not very stretchy. To ensure a good fit for your hat, make sure you get the correct gauge!

Sizes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
baby (46-48), child (49-52), adult small (53-56), adult medium (57-59), adult large (60-63)

Gauge: 22 st x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm of colorwork (vertical stripes) after blocking

Needle: 4mm 40cm circular needle, 4mm double pointed needles

Yarn: Color A: 50 (50, 100, 100, 100)g, Color B: 50g in DK weight yarn in all sizes.

Yarn suggestion: Sandnes Garn Double Sunday (108m750g): Color A 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) skein, Color B: 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) skein. The sample is knit with 4008 Poppy and 4604 Flamingo.

Other materials: Stitch markers, measuring tape, tapestry needle.

Rati Riti Pipo on neulottu yhtenä kappaleena, alhaalta ylöspäin kahdella värillä. Pipossa neulotaan hieman kirjoneuletta (pystyraidat) ja raitoja (vaakaraidat). Pipo ei sisällä yhtään nurjaa silmukkaa! Ohje on jaettu yhdeksään yksinkertaiseen vaiheeseen, mikä tekee tästä selkeän ja helposti luettavan myös aloittelijalle.
