The Ringmaster Doll
A crochet doll pattern (abbreviated style pattern with key).
Written in UK terms
I would class this pattern as easy, the stitches used are basic, however beginners may struggle with sewing on the spirals.
Gauge is unimportant - however the original pattern was created using DK acrylic yarn, and a 3mm hook (which will give you a doll that stands at approx 12 inches tall (Not including the hat).
Other Skills: You will need to sew the spirals onto the face and body, which can be quite fiddly in places, so some previous experience may be helpful.
What you will need;
Yarn: Colours required; Cream (or white), black, red.
Amount of yarn will vary depending on type used etc, however on average you can expect to need approx: Cream/White-85g, Red-12g, Black-40g
Crochet hook: Any size as long as it produces tight stitches to hold the stuffing.
Tapestry Needle (for sewing up)
Polyester Fibre filling for the stuffing.
Pins (optional, but helpful in holding the spirals in place whilst sewing)
A Stitch marker (optional - for helping to keep count of stitches)
Stitches Used in pattern: (UK terms) Chain Stitch, Slip Stitch, Double
Crochet, Double Increase, Double Decrease.
Time: Doll takes on average between 8-12 hours to complete
