The Ripple Headband is a super quick and easy, elegant and cosy winter accessory, that will suit anyone :) I made the original headband as a gift, but I really want to knit one for myself now to wear in London during these freezing winter months.

It is a great project beginner project, since it is just a simple rib stitch the whole way through. It is also a nice project for more experienced knitters, I personally really like working on little things like this where I don’t have to think too much.

The pattern is knit flat in rib stitch and then joined at the end to form the headband, with a ruching detail to finish it off.

The gauge is 23 stitches in 10 cm (in stockinette stitch), but even if you don’t get exact gauge it should not matter too much since the size is customizable anyways :)

Depending on your headsize you will need between 110-220 m of yarn, although many may ending up using less than one ball of yarn, so it is a great stash busting project!

You will also need a set of 3 mm needles.

If you end up making the headband and posting about it, please don’t forget to tag me @knitting_glitter and use the hashtag #rippleheadband :)
