When I designed this pair of kilt hose , it was with the thought of those who brought freedom to The Republic of Ireland. It was to honour men like Michael Collins, my great grandfather and others who fought hard so that I and others could enjoy the freedoms that we do. The cables were to honour the Irish traditions and the zigzags because the path to freedom is never easy or straight. But in recent times many people in the world have stood up for the cry of freedom. So this is to honour all of them.
