The Romance of Orenburg, Scarf/Shawl
I love the look, the feel, and the romance of Orenburg Shawls. I also like the fact that the shawls are all worked in Garter. They are completely reversible. The Honeycomb is by far my favorite Orenburg shawl pattern and I knew I had to incorporate it in a simple design to show off the unique structure of this stitch. The pattern may keep you on your toes at the beginning but you will soon fall into a comfortable rhythm. There are no purl stitches in this shawl.
The shawl is constructed all in one piece starting with the bottom lace border, picking up stitches along that border, knitting the center of the shawl along with the borders at the same time, and ending with knitting the top border together with the center stitches.
