The Room With a View Cowl design is meant to reflect that time of day when the sun is setting outside and everything is dark and silhouetted inside. This is the perfect upper-beginner/ low-intermediate pattern. It’s deceptively simple and the size is highly customizable.

I’ve provided 3 sizing options in the pattern, as well as additional instructions on how to figure out what size is best for you/ how to size up and cast on the right amount of stiches for any measurement!

Gauge:
18 sts & 26 rows = 4x4 inches in stockinette on size US 8/ 5 mm needles, worked flat and blocked (#sts is the most important thing, as the length is up to your preference)

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn, circular needles, stitch marker, tapestry needle

Suggested Yarn:
The yarns used in the sample are Berroco Vintage 5107 Cracked Pepper (Color A) for the border/ lattice & Malabrigo Rios 850 Archangel (Color B) for the background. You can use any worsted weight yarn for this project (or weight needed to obtain gauge), but I suggest something soft that won’t irritate your skin.
I think the pattern really shines with two distinct colors: one for the border/lattice and one for the “background,” but this can be knit in one color as well!

Yardage:
Color A: 64-84, 79-99, 95-115
Color B: 70-90, 87-107, 103-123
