by Camadelle
Skill level: experienced.
The finished shawl is 79” (200cm) in diameter.
I used 1250 yards of Unique Sheep Marici lace yarn on circular 3.5mm needles.
**Update 28 July 2016**
This pattern has been tested; the mistakes in the charts have been fixed. It now includes written instructions as well.
*****
This shawl is the second in a series of patterns inspired by traditional songs.
The Rose of Allendale is a girl called Mary, who leaves her home in the highlands to accompany her love in his travels across the seas.
The pattern displays petals and leaves against a mesh background; the three main sections grow wider like ripples on the water.
