*****

This shawl is the second in a series of patterns inspired by traditional songs.
The Rose of Allendale is a girl called Mary, who leaves her home in the highlands to accompany her love in his travels across the seas.
The pattern displays petals and leaves against a mesh background; the three main sections grow wider like ripples on the water.
