This is a great pattern for beginning knitters wanting more challenge. This is knit in the round from top down. The overall body is a fairly easy, repeated 4 row pattern. Great for learning a beginning cable technique.

The entire project can be knit on 16” circular needles.
The cable can be knit with or without a cable needle. If you choose a cable needle, I suggest using a small cable needle - I highly recommend Brittany Birch Cable Needles.
