The Saddle Shoulder Sweater
Featuring an innovative construction method to create a no-sew, seamless, saddle shoulder sweater worked from the top down and almost all-in-one. The shoulder panel and sleeves have a lace panel using an easy to remember 4 row repeat. Optional waist shaping.
The pattern uses Japanese Short Rows, Twisted Yarn Over Increases, a false ‘anchor’ allowing stripes to be created over the yoke and finished with an Invisible Rib Bind Off. All techniques have photo tutorials.
There is a lot going on in this pattern especially with various increases starting and finishing at different times. To make things easier, there are downloadable charts for each size indicating colour changes, stitch counts and increases.
I used 2 strands of Holst Garn Supersoft to make this sweater.
