The Sampler Hat
by Diana Burk
Inspired by cross-stitched ‘samplers’ of days gone by, this woolie cap combines tradition with a modern flair. A basic beanie worked a little tall for a tiny amount of ‘slouch’ and topped with a slightly over-sized pom-pom becomes a hip addition to your winter wardrobe.
I used Knit Picks Andean Treasure yarn for this pattern, which is a 100% baby alpaca yarn. This was the first time I worked with it - and I am really in love with it now! SUPER soft (no scratchiness at all!) and VERY affordable. All three skeins will cost about $21 total! If you haven’t tried it before - I highly recommend you give it a shot! :)
