The Sand and the Sea Cowl was inspired by the beauty of the Oregon Coast. The slipped stitches recall a sandy beach, whereas the mesh sections are inspired by all of the lovely texture the Pacific Ocean shares with us. It’s a fabulous excuse to mix two complementary colors, inspired by the ocean of your dreams.
Yarn
Approximately 400 yards fingering-weight yarn total OR 300 yards DK-weight yarn total, split equally between two colors.
I made my fingering version in sadly-discontinued Foxtrot by Big Alice Dyeworks in Colorways Sleeps with the Fishes (color A) and Precious Cherries (color B) and my DK-weight version in Knitted Wit Victory DK in Paprika and Oregon Sky.
