The Scood
This pattern is for a knitted scood, a versatile scarf which can be worn up over the head like a hood, or down around the neck like a scarf. The scood fastens by pulling the decorative fan shape at one end through a slot at the other end. The scood is knitted in a basketweave pattern with a rolled edge, and there is a lacy pattern on the fans at each end. The lower edge of each fan is edged with a crocheted shell pattern.
This pattern also features detailed, illustrated instructions on working the crocheted chain provisional cast on.
The pattern is intended for the personal use of the purchaser, and is not meant to be used commercially.
The pattern uses two skeins of Patons Classic Wool yarn, a pair of size 10 needles, 3 size 5 double pointed needles, and a size H crochet hook. You may also want to use a length of smooth yarn for the provisional cast on.
This pattern does not contain stitch diagrams or charts.
