The Scrappy Stocking
The Scrappy Stocking can be made with any yarn and hook for different sizes.
Using 4mm hook with DK yarn approx size 5 by 10 inches.
Using 2mm hook with fingerweight yarn approx size 3 by 6 inches.
Materials
4 mm
Stylecraft DK
Needle
Scissors
Measuring tape
US Terminology- Intermediate - You may not use all of these stitches in this pattern
Slst: slip stitch
St: stitch
Sc: single crochet
Ch: chain
Sk: skip
Hdc: half double crochet
Dc: double crochet
Dc2tog: decrease using dc over 2 sts
Dc3tog: decrease using dc over 3 sts
Hdc2tog: decrease using hdc over 2 sts
Fpsc: front post sc
Fphdc: front post hdc
Fpdc: front post dc
Fo: finish off, slst into next st and end
Puff: yarn over, insert hook into ch or ch 1 space, yarn over, draw through stitchx 3. See pic 1 on page 5 Yarn over and draw yarn though 6 loops (2 loops left on hook), See pic 2 on page 5 yarn over, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook. See pic 3 on page 5
Shell: puff, ch 1, puff in same st. See pic 4 on page 5
