The Seacoast hat
It’s a single skein of yarn or two in your stash you’re not sure what to do with? Or need something simple to keep your hands busy? Looking for a gift for somebody special? Or looking to grow your own skills? You can use the Seacoast hat pattern to learn how to knit a hat from the top-down: a double-layered beanie with 4-point crown shaping.
The Seacoast hat is worked seamless, from the top of outer hat to the top of hat lining, in one piece: it’s a kind of knitted tube closed on top on the both sides. Just fold the tube in half and place the lining part of hat inside of the outer part of hat.
Tip: You can easily try the hat on before you start decreasing: slip the leaning inside outer part of hat and try this on: you can adjust the length of hat before you start decreasing. Hat can be knitted shorter or longer - it’s depend on your preference.
