The Secret Grotto is a triangle shaped shawl designed for Birch Tree Fiber Arts Co.’s Five Year Anniversary. The shawl is worked flat from the top down. Knitting starts with a few stitches, followed by relaxing rows that combine slip stitches and yarn-overs.

Suggested yarn; Birch Tree Fiber Arts Co. Rock n Roll Sock. (100g, 400 yards each) You will need one skein each of colors A, B & C (total yardage = 1200 yards)
Needles: US Size 4 (3.5 mm) circular needles
Gauge: 14 sts & 36 rows = 4” in garter stitch
Although gauge is not crucial, it could affect the yardage needed to complete the project.
