It is quite interesting, to be honest.

Without their effort and editing the rectangle version wouldn’t have been available as soon as it did.

Needle: 2mm / US0 circulars 40cm and 80/100cm or straight needles

Size:
38” x 86” or 96 x 218cm for the Shetland Gossamer or
34” x 75” or 85 x 190cm for the Midara.
(sizes differ due to personal knitting tension).

Also: stitch markers, T-pins, blocking kit, fine blunt needle for weaving in ends, suitable detergent for washing, towel to press out excess water, blocking location.

There are only charts, (4) and information to help you work the edge pattern around the shawl (wrap & turn).

There will be a square version of this shawl, but release will be next year.

Rechthoekige shawl met kantpatronen in Shetland Motief.

Heel veel dank gaat uit naar de testbreisters Sue Golden (J & S Gossamer in Fawn) en Dominique Gérard (Midara Micro in Rood). Zonder hun inzet zou de rechthoekige versie niet beschikbaar zijn.
ALLE RIJEN worden recht gebreid. Lees eerst alle instructies voor je begint met breien.

Er zijn 4 charts, geen uitgeschreven rijen en uitleg voor het breien van de rand.

Garen: ~ 2200 m 1/16NM Jamieson & Smith Gossamer 1ply in Fawn of Midara Micro (Estlands garen) 1600m/100gr (hangt ook af van persoonlijke breistijl)
Naald: 2mm (rondbreinaald 40cm en eventueel 80cm of rechte naalden (40cm)
Maat: 96 x 218cm Fawn (Shetland Gossamer) of 85 x 190cm voor de rode Midara. (ook hier kan de lengte en breedte verschillen door persoonlijke breistijl).
Ook nodig: steek markeerders (ongeveer 12 stuks), geschikt wasmiddel voor wol, blocking kit en T-pins, badhanddoek, geschikte lokatie om de shawl op te spannen, borduurnaald.
