The Shifted Shawl
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
This shawl is knitted on the bias. A subtle “shift” in the stitch pattern creates the “V” shape and transforms this stole into a shawl. You can knit a stole by working only chart A or C to your desired length. It will work well for any weight of yarn and is easily resizable, simply by knitting more or fewer chart repeats. All charts are large and easy to read.
This shawl requires 650 meters (684 yards) DK weight yarn. The sample used 5 balls of Noro Silk Garden Lite (45% Silk, 45% Kid Mohair, 10% Lamb’s Wool), 125m (137yds) / 50 g (1.75oz), colour 2027.
The finished shawl measures 198 cm (78 in) long, 61 cm (24 in) wide.
