This pattern creates a great mitten that is perfect for using a cell phone and for cooler days.

I named this pattern “The Shuswap Mitten” as the city I live in is on Shuswap Lake in British Columbia, Canada, and the area is known as The Shuswap. We have mild winters and I wear fingerless mittens quite a bit so thought it an appropriate name for my pattern. I hope you enjoy knitting the pattern as much as I did in creating it.

The pattern will have written instructions for 3 different stitch patterns and some pictures for illustration.

Techniques/stitches: Knit, Purl, slip/slip/knit, Knit 1 through back loop, Knit 2 together, Yarn Over, Slip 1 stitch purlwise, Pass slipped stitch over, Make 1
