Silence will fall when the question is asked: Is your kitchen saying enough about your fandom?

This pattern gives you two ways to bring The Silence to your kitchen.

• Basic Version, intended for people who are relatively new to crocheting OR crocheting from charts. (Don’t let that chart business scare you, by the way. There are instructions to help you read the chart, on top of which, I designed it to be read from top to bottom, which makes life easier.)

• Full Version, with suit jacket, shirt, and tie, intended for people who aren’t afraid of some fiddly widdly color changes.

Both versions contain facial flaps that are worked flat and sewn to the potholder. Required stitches for the flaps are sc, HDC, and sc2tog, or single crochet decrease.

Yarn colors are as shown, although you have the option to add an additional color on the back, since both potholders have a front and a back layer to keep your lovely hands safe from burns.

I can’t promise that The Silence will help you forget about those sweet potato fries you keep burning, but I can say with confidence that The Silence will boost your kitchen’s geek cred, even when you’re out of fish fingers and custard.
