This listing is for the PDF pattern of The ‘Simple Hat’ - rolled edges, some ribbing, tassel… perfect!

The hat shown in this listing is knit with a total of 3 oz, yarn I spun from a natural chestnut brown Romney fleece from Sandy Ryan’s happy sheep on the Homestead Farm - smooches!

I handprocessed the fleece and handspun it into a lofty bulky 2-ply.

The hat is knit with a rolled edge, deep ribbing and a slightly slouchy top.

A tassel to make it all perfect and happy :)

This very simple, but very lovely & cute hat knits up quickly on size 6.5 mm (US 10.5) needles.

It is especially designed to showcase hand-spun yarn but can be knit up just as well using commercial yarn.

Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, decreasing via purl 2 together.
