The pattern I designed is a christening blanket motif which is worked in the round and joined on the 8th round.
It is surrounded by a lace edge picot border.
It took me 32 hours to make, and I loved every minute of it. I used the traditional white yarn, but any colour would be beautiful.
If you would like to make a larger motif, multiply x 2 rounds, ie. always finish on an even round, similar to round 8.
A larger hook size will give you a larger motif and blanket.
Patons yarn is 100% cotton and hook sizes you could use, 3mm -4.5mm (D/3-H/8) It is a beautiful yarn to work with.
I hope it gives you as much pleasure to make as it did me.
