This pattern is for the men who want to unleash their inner Viking King. This is for the man who wants for nothing, who loves to wear knits on his face, and has always desired the epic facial hair of a Viking Warrior. This is a fun, quick knit that will ensure the Warrior’s face stays warm during even the most arctic Minnesotan winters. Have fun!

Measurements
The beanie measures approximately 8” (20.3 cm) wide and 8.5” (21.6 cm) from brim to crown lying flat. The hat is very stretchy and fits 20”-24” (50.8 cm-61 cm) heads. Size is easily adjustable and explained in pattern.

Gauge
16 sts / 20 rounds = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch using US10 (6.0 mm) unblocked
Exact gauge is not critical, but a deviation will affect finished dimensions

Yarn

• C1 (Purple): Soft Secret by Yarn Bee (100% acrylic; sport weight; 6 oz 170 g, 300 yds 200 m) in Hot Grape (approx. 3.2 oz 90 g, 160 yds 146 m used). Yarn is held double.
• C2 (Yellow): Sport Weight by I Love This Yarn (100% acrylic; sport weight; 2.5 oz 71 g, 230 yds 210 m) in Sun Yellow (3 entire skeins used). Yarn is held double.
• C3 (White): Sport Weight by I Love This Yarn (100% acrylic; sport weight; 2.5 oz 71 g, 230 yds 210 m) in Ivory (approx. 1.3 oz 36 g, 120 yds 110 m used). Yarn is held double.

Notions

• Needles: US10 (6.0 mm), US9 (5.5 mm), and US6 (4.0 mm) needles. Pattern may be worked on DPNs, a long circular for magic loop, or a short circular for in the round.
