The SOCK Socks
The SOCK Socks are knit from the cuff down. The pattern includes the instructions for two different versions. Version A is constructed with a heel flap and a gusset, Version B is constructed with a german short row heel.
Both sock versions can be adjusted for the individual foot length. There is a colorwork pattern underneath the cuff that looks like a row of tiny socks (B) or several rows of socks (A).
Version A has some sprinkle-like colorwork before the toe part, whereas version B has two simple stripes.
(If you don’t like weaving in ends, I’d recommend Version B, as it has less color changes)
The different design elements can be combined individually to create a unique SOCK sock and it’s a perfect project to use up little yarn scraps.
Needles: DPNS or circular needles in 2.5mm
Yarn: Opal 4ply sock yarn (75%wool, 25% polyamide) 425m/100g (Can be substituted with most light fingering / fingering weight sock yarns)
Total Yardage is between 185-305 meters, depending on which version and size you’re making
Each colorwork pattern repetition requires around 5g/21m
Finished size (foot circumference):
S: 18 cm (stretches to 22cm) 56 sts
M: 21 cm (stretches to 25cm) 64 sts
