The Sophie Hat is a fun, quick knit for the adventurous beginner. I went stash diving to find that 1 perfect skein of DK weight yarn I was just waiting to make into something special. For that reason I have not specified a particular brand of yarn. I used about 300 yards or less for all the sample hats shown.

The hat was designed to look great whether you use a solid, speckled, or tonal yarn. For a more fitted hat you can decrease the overall length to get a beanie fit or make it as per the pattern measurements for something a little slouchier.

The Sophie Hat is offered in S, M, and L sizes. It uses a 6 stitch repeat so is easily adjusted up or down.

This is a great hat to make for Hats for Sailors.
