The “Stripes on Stripes” (SOS) Shawl has been designed with mini skeins or leftover stash yarn in mind.

Play will colour and take a break from your knitting schedule to create some Simple | Stylish | Stitches

The SOS Shawl is traditional half hap construction with a modern border of garter and stocking stitch “Stripes on Stripes”. Its definitely a shawl you will want to knit time and time again.

So dig your stash and make something for YOU this Autumn.

Yarn
Shown in Green Elephant Sock Yarn in ‘Pebbles’ (75% SW Merino Wool / 25% Nylon; 100 grams; 465 yards / 425 metres. One full skein required for Main Colour (MC).

You also need six contrasting colours in fingering weight yarn. Sample shown using Green Elephant Yarn Mini Skeins Set (75% SW Merino Wool / 25% Nylon; 5x 20grams; 80m each skein) – 4 colours used from this set were Mint, Green, Yellow, Pink and Navy. In addition 1 single mini skein in each colourway ‘Rouge’ and ‘Lime’. Each mini skein colour in the pattern requires approximately 10 grams.

4.0 mm 80cm circular needle

Gauge
24 stitches to 36 rows per 4”/10cm in Garter Stitch on 4mm needle. Please note that tension variations will impact on yardage required.
