Suggested by an Australian knitter (and fellow Kate), I give you the (Koala) Stare: From the Land Down Under.

Not only was a Koala suggested to showcase the stare of a super cute animal, but also to raise awareness about the struggles Koala’s have been facing. My research helped me to find 2 great websites that gives you tons of great information and ways that you can help.

Yarn Used

• All of the Stare hats are knit with Sueno by Hikoo Yarns. I used 2 contrasting colours, Colour A - Mud (80 yards) and Colour B - Ballet Slipper (100 yards)

Needles:

• 3.50mm and 4.00mm needles on a 16” cord, plus 4.00mm DPN’s, 9” circular, or 40” circular for magic loop. Use your preferred method for knitting in small circumferences.

Gauge:

• 22 sts / 4”

Sizes Available:

• This hat will fit a head up to 24”

Additional Materials Needed:

• 3 Stitch Markers, one being unique for BOR

• Scissors

• Darning Needle
